It is most unfortunate for the Colony to be deprived of the services of two of its best Officers, Mr Sauncefote and Mr Rennie, at the same time; and no doubt the Executive is greatly weakened thereby, but I need scarcely say that the Governor granting Mr Sauncefote's leave of absence was under the circumstances an unavoidable necessity.
